Alex O’Geil is a European-trained, Okanagan-based Solo Latin Ballroom dancer with quite a different approach to the art of dance:

While she could lead audiences through classic Latin dance styles – from a sensual Rumba to a sharp Cha-Cha-Cha or an energetic Jive – Alex brings her own creative signature to the floor, blending traditional Latin movement with influences from Jazz, Ballet, and overall modern dance.

Originally from Austria, Alex began her dance journey in Ballet and Jazz before discovering her passion for international-style Latin Ballroom at age 14, quickly dancing her way up to Gold Star standing, followed by years of training with European professionals and assistant teaching at a Viennese dance school.
She went on to perform at prestigious events, including the Vienna State Opera House, City Hall, and other grand locations, finding her way back into this passion just a few years ago here in Canada, earning Gold in Latin formation competition in Vancouver.

Alex brings 10+ years of dance experience to the table.

Now based in the beautiful Okanagan, she continues to explore her solo dance journey through further dance coaching, workshops, performance, and creative collaborations.
Most of all, Alex enjoys giving solo dance lessons for beginners, and coaching solo performers with focus on body movement and fluidity.
