Alex O’Geil is an Okanagan-based Solo Latin Ballroom dancer with quite a different approach to the art of dance:

While she could take an audience on a journey through classic Latin routines from a sensual Rumba, over a sleek and quick-moving Cha-Cha-Cha, into the energetic spirit of a Jive, she rather combines traditional Latin moves with her own modern dance signature, pulled from different influences across the Latin and Ballroom scene, with elements of Jazz, Ballet, and overall modern dance.

As an award-winning Life-Cycle Celebrant® & Wedding Officiant, Alex doesn’t miss any opportunity to celebrate people’s stories and lives by captivating audiences with the spoken and visual art of ceremony.

Back in Austria, where Alex is from, she took Ballet & Jazz lessons as a kid, before she later got hooked on Latin & Standard Ballroom dance when she was 14 years old.
She performed and assisted in couple’s dance and group formation, becoming part of diverse opening acts for elite events and ball nights such as at the famous Vienna State Opera House, City Hall, historical castles, and other grand locations.

More recently, Alex has found her way back into her passion within the last couple of years, here in our beautiful Okanagan.

Truly a lover of inspiration and flow in dance, Alex is an overall experienced performer in couple and group international-style Latin Ballroom dance.
She competed for the wins in Vancouver, bringing home GOLD with a Latin formation performance.

Now, Alex is focused on her solo dance journey and variety show with different dancers.
